Incredibly silly storyline but 2 captivating performances from iconic legends John Lithgow and Geoffrey Rush carry whats on paper a measly script. Their commitment to the stakes and really going through with the craziness made me more invested than ever. Its inspirational because they have had such outstanding careers that if they just took the paycheque here, I wouldn’t have blamed them. While the film is definitely flawed, I was entertained throughout despite clarity issues & unanswered questions. A fun psychological horror experience with tons of meme potential. Glad to have gone in blind.

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- 2025
A very solid introductory special to the new series. Music is retro & upbeat in this spin on the original series. In terms of look and feel there’s enough little differences to make it something new but it’s still very much GUNDAM. Animation wise… WOW this looked great on the big screen, between smooth character designs and bright use of colours, it definitely draws you in from a visual arts aspect. Story-wise, I’d like to see them stay within this underground…

A captivating fantastical journey that will certainly please the diehard fanbase. The chemistry between leads standout as Cynthia Erivo is incredible, and Ariana Grande is great. The costuming & set design team do a magnificent job of transporting us back to the land of Oz, and the film never loses its pacing despite obvious setup/filler moments for its sequel. Most likely the biggest box office draw of the year. How adaptations *should* be. A musical masterclass: expect multiple award wins here.
