A beautiful portrait of a historic artist. James Mangold handled this biopic so well, although it doesn’t necessarily do anything to innovate the genre, it has a certain charm and comforting warmth to it, especially thanks to some fantastic art direction everything from the staging, lighting, set design, and colour coding was done with absolute precision.
