At 25 minutes in, I backed out to the Hulu menu because I was so mad that the dialogue was horrific. I checked the time, it was 2am. I can't start a new movie, so I decided to watch it reluctantly.
The dialogue in the first 30 mins was definitely horrible.. But it was thematically horrible! Yay!
The rest of the movie was grueling and intense, well acted and more or less realistically written.
Honestly I would try dry aged anything I think :/

I tried watching this high once, before I got sober. I think it was 2019. The scene where Toni discovers Charlie's head in the car fucked me up so bad that I had to turn it off. I sobbed. I was imagining my husband dying.
