  a political commentary that was far too on the nose. it made too many points with too little content about said points. and what they did expand on just ended up invalidating the original point. a fun political sci-fi- maybe not for everyone- but i had fun.

  absolutely not what i was expecting 😧- very campy and a lot more erotic than i had anticipated! i wish the cenobites were explored more but that’s just not what this movie is about!!!!!! the practical effects were stellar, especially for the technology available at the time. the animated effects… we won’t talk about those. and that’s okay. i’m glad i finally got around to finally watching this movie (shoutout to dylan).

  the monkey more like the funky because of how silly he gets with his beats!!! theo james is FOINE in this. i wish it was marketed more heavily towards its comedy but it’s too late for that
