Still one of my all time favorite Disney films. Genuinely funny, cute as fuck, and has some GREAT music. The ultimate comfort film.

Just fucking amazing what they were able to accomplish in the 1930s. Some of the animation totally blew me away, and left me constantly wondering just how the fuck they did some of these things. I also was shocked at just how dark and kind of scary the story gets, I’ve only seen this like once before so I didn’t remember much. Also great music, I didn’t think I’d be into the songs this much but that score was fantastic!…

I wanted to watch something short and sweet, and decided to put this on. I didn’t grow up watching Disney that much at all so I don’t have that nostalgia for the older animated films. A true American classic, I don’t really know what else to add to the conversation. Al Pacino is so fucking fun to watch, and I thought Michelle Pfeiffer was terrific! The three hours fly by for me, there’s some great cinematography here, especially the scene where Tony is talking to the cop in the club and they are surrounded by all these mirrors. It just looks so fucking cool! Also the sound effects of the guns going off always sound great, like this loud clear boom each time. This might not be my favorite Brian DePalma film but it’s pretty damn close.
