Really don’t like Dracula. Love the character and love when he shows up in things but really don’t like the Dracula story in Bram Stoker’s original novel. I remember being so frustrated reading about characters who see Dracula doing evil and magic and being infuriatingly obtuse about it. Dracula climbs up a castle wall like a lizard prompting Jonathan Harker to make insightful remarks like “How curious! I wonder what this could mean… I guess I’ll have to stick around…

Things I liked:
• Florence Pugh is an incredible actor
• The background actors/ cult members did a really good job of being just off enough to make you uncomfortable but not so off that it’s jarring
• Refreshing to see bright colours and light in a horror movie
