Hostel: Part III 2011

In a surprise twist I... didn't completely hate it? Liked it more than Part II even (though admittedly that doesn't mean much).
It's a bad film, but it is that fun "unapologetically all over the place" kind of bad. Goofy costumes, lots of flimsy excuses to show T&A, different ways of maiming and killing, and even a bit of world building. The line writing is so bad that I am amazed they got a take where the actors didn't burst…

This film isn't perfect. It somewhat falls apart in its final act, and some of the effects feel very dated, but any horror film with such superb sound design, eerie atmosphere and which totally eschews jump scares whatsoever has to be held up as an absolute classic.
