I am a bit surprised that this wasn’t a contender at the Oscars. Comedy is a hard sell, but comedy about a very specific demographic without punching down at all is even harder.
Watching the people around me age is hard. I feel the same weight on Danny’s shoulders, wanting to card for everyone and feeling a little lost in comparison to others. I hope that those who get to watch what happens to me are proud, that they won’t ever worry about if I’ll be okay.
