  Very pleasantly surprising. Having not seen any of the films in the franchise in my lifetime, dismissing it as your run of the mill fantasy storytelling of "ploticus solvicus" magic spells, I found myself enjoying the film more on a character front and also in part to its story, however it is let down though from my previously mentioned "ploticus solvicus
