There isn't much in the way of character development, it's pretty much just a tense, non-stop war movie with Tom Hanks leading a convoy of ships against German U-boats during WWII. This is the kind of movie you put on and can watch pretty passively without missing much. It isn't a bad movie but it isn't anything mind-blowing either.

Space Jam 1996
I actually watched this the other day with my kid. He wasn't interested, but it did take me back to the 90's when I saw this movie and even then I realized it was bad. Now as an adult I KNOW it's bad, but it's not unwatchable. Like, it has it's funny moments, and even some of the songs have a certain nostalgic charm to them.
I hear they're remaking/rebooting/re-whatevering this with Lebron James, which is fitting because if there's anything China loves more than anything it's making obvious cash-grabs.

This wasn’t Cars 2. This was Larry the Cable Guy starring in Cars 2. Somehow it managed to be worse than the first one. I imagine Disney/Pixar execs sitting around a room saying “how can we make more money selling toys using lowest-common denominator humor? Cars sequel...with Larry the Cable Guy”.
