  Thoroughly enjoyable but not nearly as good as the first one. Almost too much plot. The love between Hanno and his forgettable bride was also very contrived 

  A few stray observations: 
  - Numidia was not a city, it was a province. And it was part of the empire for centuries before (see Gaius Marius and the Jugurthine wars). Babies know this. 
  - The Roman guy reading a NEWSPAPER. Come on!
  - Robert Eggers should do a Roman movie. Hanno has the political views of Elizabeth Warren, i.e. completely anachronistic 
  - Ridley Scott must’ve had a bad experience in WeHo cuz he thinks gays are evil!!

  Only reason it’s not the full 5 is because Ariana Grande could’ve enunciated more. But she was hilarious and I’m impressed with her acting chops.
