I think this could make for an interesting companion piece to Call Me By Your Name, not just because of the LGBTQ+ story but more so for how the film presents kindred souls, exploring a sweltering, pictorial landscape as they connect with one another.

I enjoyed this and thought it had a lot of very fun moments and ideas. Everyone’s having a lot of fun, particularly Ruffalo (we all know what he’s doing). Pattinson is obviously terrific too, very weird and cooky in his mannerisms and encapsulates Mickey’s awkward sensibilities very well.

Watched this at Tivoli in Bath since they had a showing and I’m glad I saw it in a theatre; made me really appreciate the breadth of the sound editing and mixing and how dynamic it was.
