FILHA DA PUTAAA!!! Heard a lot of praise about the acting beforehand and normally I think it’s hard to distinguish good and great acting but my god even the kids performances were so realistic. Also did not expect it to be so emotional, I was fighting back tears the entire time (Eunice telling the newspaper they’re gonna smile for the photo 🥲). I didn’t know anything about the dictatorship or that family before and it felt like this movie told that story in the most compelling way possible. So dramatic and powerful and beautiful. Cant think of a single negative thing to say, BRASIL NÚMERO UM 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

The Brutalist 2024
Was thinking 4 right after but the more I thought about it the less I liked it.
I’ll start with negatives, the second half of this movie was kinda bad. The story became less believable as it went on and some of the characters actions didn’t make sense. I also feel like the movie didn’t say anything? I thought “Oh maybe it’s a commentary on the American dream” and then that weak ass epilogue just contradicts that.
The first half was super fire and I really liked the concept for the story. I also enjoyed seeing it in the theater, Coolidge corner rocks.
