This must be my 6th screening of this film. Fucking love it. It talks about ‘Othering’ so well. It could just be Hindu Muslim and india as a backdrop and each major beat in the story would land just as well and appropriately. Makes me cry each time.

An actors’ director. Works so so intimately with actors. And what a unique cinematic language this filmmaker has. Guy Pearce was the best actor in this film for me. Hands down. Brody is classic Brody. But guy Pearce was the standout actor through and through. Menacing. Scary. Frightful. Terrifying and terrible.

It’s so easy to make a film from an enraged point of view. She’s…
