Not a D&D player so had little to no expectations from this film. Though nothing unique about the plot or the main characters, I did find several parts visually interesting and appreciated some creative choices like the chubby but menacing dragon, the owlbear and Chris Pine playing the lute.

Watching this felt like George and Andrew were reunited once again and I was reminded of how truly impactful this duo were in such a short period of time. It had the potential to be melodramatic and overinflated, but instead It felt like you were watching mid 80s MTV, a perfect tribute to an iconic band.
