  There’s something quietly heartbreaking about the realization that your parents aren’t perfect. I don’t know how it happened for other people, but for me it was a slow burn. A hurtful comment here, a traumatic meltdown there. So many gaps. Am I misremembering? Did that actually happen? What happened during those three days when they left without…
