    Preferred it to The Batman.

The trailer spoiled the film. The marketing went heavy on the Red Hulk and I did think at the time “oh I hope that’s not the last ten minutes of the film.” Well, yeah, it is.

Other than that it’s a lot of people talking, not that much memorable action, not much fun. Cap’s new sidekick is incredibly irritating and unfortunately it sounds like they’re teeing him up as a future avenger. I’d be happy never to see him again.…

Critics are just off their nuts sometimes. This was great. Duncan Jones has created a really colourful, imaginative future world with an original story full of twists and turns. I was gripped from start to finish and there’s a really freaky bit in the middle with some sexbots that felt straight out of Clockwork Orange or Blade Runner (which it clearly owes an aesthetic debt to anyway).

Yeah, the critics have got it wrong with this one. Four stars from me.

She says: “The coolest most political Marvel film yet.”

This isn’t just a corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe we haven’t seen before, it’s something we haven’t seen before, full stop - and about time too.

On top of that, I thought it was a better Batman film than any of Battfleck’s efforts and it was refreshing to see a Marvel film that didn’t have snarky one liners every other sentence. This benefits from a more serious tone. It also looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing where T’Challa and co. go from here.
