this film is literal propaganda, not that i expected anything better.
the movie boiled down a complex issue going on for decades into something so black and white. where the hindus potrayed as victims and the muslims terrorists. it clearly just wants to villianise the muslims by showing the worst of their community, which is incredibly unfair. some people's actions do not define an entire community!
this film had immense (unnecessary) gore scenes, which is just there for shock value.…

rewatched today bc we're going through the andrew garfield renaissance.
this movie is so fucking beautiful. andrew garfield and claire foy did a such an amazing job with their characters. the lines were simple and powerful. and the cinematography is too.
however i think the pacing is off and the characters could've been developed better. it was all too sudden i felt.
but i truly do love this movie, it has a nice feel good vibe. one my favourite andrew garfield performances for sure.
