    Even without edgar wright they're so good together. I remember liking this a lot more than others did when It came out, as far as comedies go at the time it has solid bits and a good cast, Seth Rogen is at his least annoying as well which is a plus.

    Incredibly forward plot and writing for the time period. The frustrated desperation of the town in wanting to catch this guy makes everything so tense. There's a level of realism to how sketchy and haphazard their plans are to foil him. This could easily be a film made in the 70s, all that would be added would be violent child deaths. This film really seems to establish most of the tropes that make up this style of thriller. Really impressive work obviously.
