    Jesus Christ Superstar

    ★★½

The story of Jesus but with flare, that’s what I’ll dub “Jesus Christ Superstar” as.
I grew up Catholic, but these days I’m more spiritual…so seeing various depictions of this story in particular…it’s nothing new to me…but yeah this was a lot to take in. I don’t quite feel right rocking out to the death of Jesus but this film’s soundtrack clearly made its mark in cinema & music history.

It’s definitely a product of its time, the film is clearly…

    The Ex

    ★★

“The Ex” was basically a sitcom pilot stretched to a film and considering Zach Braff was still starring in “Scrubs” at the time this was released, it makes sense why he was the lead in this. Chris Rock: Selective Outrage

    ★★★

We all know why so many people wanted to see this latest Chris Rock special, aside from the discussion of the slap, the whole set was pretty solid.

Rock tackles everything from humbling his children, politics, abortion, and of course Will Smith slapping him last year. I’m glad the whole special didn’t revolve around the incident cause it would have been really drawn out, instead the bit was saved till the end and it gave the special a funny punchline…

    Craig Ferguson: I'm So Happy

    ★★★½

I see a new Craig Ferguson special, I watch it.

“I’m So Happy” takes on Covid, Old people VS Millennials & Gen Z, the ever changing comedy landscape and more!

While this isn’t his best special, I was still laughing all the way till the end, Ferguson’s quick wit is still as sharp and kinetic as ever, I still miss him on the “Late Late Show” but seeing him back is always a treat for comedy fans, this is easily one of my favorite stand up specials for 2024.
