    I love this movie. I also think too many people entirely miss the point of the movie when they watch it. I've seen people treat this like it is the fucking Japanese Lorax, if you're coming away with "industry bad" or "humans bad" as your big takeaway you're missing the depth of the film.

    This is something I probably have to rewatch to get my mind around the themes

    I really liked the animation, the world was cool, I wish there was more exploration of it to be honest. I definitely liked the film. Despite not fully hammering down it all, it's obviously a moving depiction of grief.

    I think part of the reason I'm struggling with putting together the themes is that I'm being distracted by the whole Netsuko/mom thing.
