  I know this is fiction, but the director claims he took inspiration from similar cases. However, in my research, I couldn’t find any instance of a 13-year-old committing murder due to being an incel and following Andrew Tate’s ideology.

  This makes an interesting use of real horrifying events, prevalent in the Japanese collective mind, as a pointer to what time we can find ourselves in, using news reports from the telly. It is creative, bizarre and terrifying, weaving several intertwined stories which connect well in the end. It could be its own stand-alone thing, but I understand the use of the name Ju-on. Episode four is an absolute violation, but I think my friend Danne would be interested.
