I wanted to like Heart Eyes more than I did.
I appreciated the effort of trying to mix rom com cliches with horror and the tone is pretty well judged throughout with some good kills but I never really warmed to the central characters meaning that I didn’t exactly care what was happening. The script isn’t great with some awful dialogue and far too many predictable moments.
It’s not bad but I thought I’d like it more so I was a little disappointed.
A solid show from Pixar with some episodes that are better than others. Not all the stories are developed well enough and it doesn’t really add up to much (final episode isn’t particularly satisfying) but there is enjoyment to be had and some of it is quite sweet.
I had high hopes for The Monkey but ended up being very disappointed.

It’s not good at all but I enjoyed it in a strange way despite the awful performances and script. It’s a part of British culture even if by the end you do realise just how pointless the whole thing has been.
