  So horrifying, tension-building is done so well and the ending is insane. But why the fuck would you not fight to save your family??? They had so many opportunities to leave or fight back. Ridiculous. 

  I felt the lack of fighting back brought the film down - it’s unrealistic to have ZERO resistance. But when he said “Because you let me” it kind of won back points from me. There’s a message in this to not lower your standards / be passive and non-confrontational. 

  Nothing pisses me off more than people who let others walk all over them.
