This is my 400th film review on Letterboxd and what a film this is! Just really excellent filmmaking. This film is over 3 hours long and on the face of it little happens, but I was so engrossed in the minutia and the way things start to slowly unravel. Masterpiece! Very happy I got to see it on the big screen!

This film also made me think a lottt about my mam which was quite cathartic while slightly depressing.

Initially I was unsure, the dialogue and staging felt a bit awkward, but then this settles into a slick and fun, albeit forgettable, film.

While not as accomplished as some of the Coens’ other films, O Brother Where Art Thou is engaging and fun from start to finish.

George Clooney is such an omnipresent pop culture figure it’s easy to forget he’s such a charismatic and talented actor. He really does great work here.

Robert Pattison carries what is a sadly uneven and unrefined showing from Bong Joon-Ho.
