kinda got juked by brad before the movie but the lowering of my expectations made it even better. loved the concept, the dialogue, the cinematography. at times felt too literal with its political message but i thought the dictatorship parallels were very cool and just the right amount of subtle. part of me wishes the movie was in korean, just felt like it would fit the tone and vibe of the movie more and would give BJH a more comfortable project to do his thing.

Dune: Part Two 2024
everything i wanted to see that wasn't in dune 1 was in this one. cinematography, acting, and dialogue were all great across the board. only issue i had with it was it slowed down significantly and started to drag a bit in the middle, but the ending more than made up for it. zendaya valid crashout tho🙏

that final third of this movie is art. makes up for some of the flawed writing and loose ends with the plot. movie starts slow (two thirds of it is exposition) but it's necessary to the plot and how experimental the movie is. really does stay in the back of your mind and leave you thinking after leaving the theaters.
