  Don’t think I’ve ever seen anything that quite captures how uncomfortable, awkward, painful, and just plain boring adolescence can be (especially re: sex) while simultaneously showing how badly humans want to glamorize their youth / the past. Jacy stirs up drama to make her life more exciting, so that perhaps she can tell a story some day about how “last night was a movie,” but when the time comes around for her to actually lose her virginity, it’s nothing worth remembering, let alone repeating. I don’t smoke, but man I need a cigarette after that.
