  its rare in media that i see black people (esp black men) allowed to be scared or hurt or affected by trauma. the gothic melodrama, which is a very white woman genre, is subverted in such a special way in this and i love. thank you j peele :)

  also considering last i watched this was with my white ex-girlfriend made this an extra cathartic watch.
