Like, in the original script, they were literally supposed to be Hirsch and Landy, but then the writer remembered Legacy was part of the canon and realized that they couldn't use either of those characters, didn't they

This movie just went from something that was never happening, and we were totally better for it, to something I simply must see, this just can't not be something absolutely insane.
God, I hope he comes out of the other side of this absolutely obsessed with puppets. Bigger, more terrifying practical monsters in every Robert Eggers movie, please
