After sitting on it for a day, Paranoia Agent is my favorite work from Kon I think I’ve seen. He really does a great job transferring the ideas that make his films great to the 13 episode format. Additionally, it seems clear he had a lot of a great ideas that work best in a show format, as the episodes had a tight formula and a great sense of world building.
