Anora 2024
Waited to watch this one with my other half as i don’t particularly enjoy these types of films, personal opinions aside it was pretty good. A little predictable however, and did start to drag out a bit towards the end. Yura Borisov was brilliant in this, him & Anora’s sequence during the final cut made it for me.

Black Bag 2025
I enjoyed this one on the big screen. Michael Fassbender was superb as always, so too was Cate Blanchett.
There isn’t an ounce of hesitation with jumping straight into thing with this one, and i do usually prefer that type of screenplay. However, i did think they jumped over a few key pointers. It wasn’t too difficult to put two and two together though and i do think i’ll prefer this film on a rewatch later in the year.
The sound and picture were also very high standards, that did feel to differentiate ‘Black Bag’ to your usually MI5/CIA film.
