Beyond being visually stunning, The Wild Robot is so moving and thoughtful. This movie has the potential to introduce a lot of complex, important concepts to children like death, sacrifice, motherhood, etc. However, it does so in a way that provides parents and caretakers with an avenue to answer questions and clarify things. It maintains the boundary of being appropriate for the little ones while not dumbing anything down. It can be enjoyed universally enjoyed by any age, and I definitely shed a tear or two.
