It's an exciting movie, good soundtrack, nice cinematography. But what a disappointment treatment of white supremacy. There seems to be a fundamental need to make the Head Boss white supremacist respectable, smart, principled, all those things. In reality, The Order came down because they wanted to kill a liquor store clerk who frequently sold them alcohol, accepting their counterfeit currency, and one of their guys flipped. Oppenheimer 2023
Liked this much more than I was expecting to. I can't speak to the accuracy of it, but it's certainly a moving portrait of a man incapable of reconciling his morals with his material power and its consequences. It's a strength of the script and the directing that all of his most triumphant moments are so clearly his most pathetic.
