  The German director Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau is responsible for achieving a spectacular production that would be the culmination of German Expressionism. With an astonishing use of double exposures and special effects in the intertitles, he can't do anything but capture our attention with such succulence.

  The plot encompasses the story of a farmer man who lives with his wife on the outskirts of town when suddenly, his lover appears to put their marriage in danger: they will try without success…
