I was especially endeared by this viewing because I kept being reminded of You Killed Me First. Where's my Lung Leg cameo??
I'm obsessed with Pauleen. She's such a freak. AnnaLynne McCord looks so good in this and I really enjoy her physical performance. We really need to normalize making people be uglier for movies. Maybe we could even start using character actors again.
Not at all familiar with the source material, but I feel like they did a great job with the resources they had. Love how overtly and insatiably horny the dialogue is. And that Brangwain is a little freak.
Hope I'm not completely off-base in saying that I was getting some serious anime vibes from the romance early on.
I don't know what I'm missing here. None of the characters are likable and the ending is hackneyed and unsatisfying. I had high hopes after the opening scene too.
