Poor Things 2023
the GirlBoss Slay™ification of a book meant to represent the chokehold that England has had on Scotland for lord knows how many years.
A movie that not only erases Scotland as its own character (instead placing Bella and Godwin in London), but takes one of three viewpoints presented in the book and leaves out the one by Victoria herself that essentially calls her husband's account of her life as nothing but a fantastical viewpoint of the male gaze written by a boring man.
2.5 for the visuals and costuming though I guess.
