Felt so effective to use melodramatic cliches in tackling this incredibly dark subject. Had me sitting on the edge of my seat, whilst a keyboard grand piano from the eighties told me what to feel and expect. Loved the music score, Julianne Moore crying over spilled cake, Natalie Portman's letter monologue, the zoom-ins and the unbearably sadness of Joe (Charles Melton).
