I’d say this was the most “on the edge of my seat” kind of movie I’ve seen in a while. Genuinely was scared for my safety, I kept turning around thinking nic cage was making weird hand gestures behind me. But he wasn’t.
Some of the shots (especially when they went looking in that barn) were terrifyingly beautiful. The editing kept me so invested, and worried the whole time for the next weird snake jump scare.
Now for the story……
Honestly I wasn’t expecting it to be so good, I was cackling at the theater like a little kid… the action scenes were so sick, there were so many unique uses of their powers; also none of them felt like they were pulling punches or “not trying” (something I feel like a lot of failed superhero movies do for plot convenience). I’m not taking the story too seriously in this movie, but even so, there were a lot of moments that made me feel something I’d never expected going into this.
The comedy was so meta

The first season I would give 4.5 stars. Easily one of the best shows at keeping me engaged and wanting to stay up until 4am to binge… at times the characters were making some odd decisions that didn’t feel believable, but the story was SO compelling it didn’t even matter. It’s an ok movie, it felt rlly…. Average? Like the villain was mediocre at best, the plot was predictable, the vfx was okay, the cgi was good.
