  Robbert Eggers, you absolute menace. This film is wildly innovative yet true to its roots. In seeing this, I was completely transported into this world that has been created. This film is rich, rotten, and ravishing.

  Absolute high art. 

  The most vibrant, beautiful colors. Insanely well-crafted compositions. A fantastic, simple, and effective score. Detailed, deeply human writing. Some unbelievably fantastic and subtle acting. This film is such a beautiful journey and a very real glimpse into a struggling period of life.
