I’ve seen the T2 several times as a kid. This is my first time watching the original film. I was surprised to realize how much this film was more of a sci fi slasher horror flick than its more action focused sequel. The titular terminator pursues our heroes like a movie monster, unstoppable until the very end, where he loses his skin and becomes the techno demon he really is. The movie has a very synthy soundtrack that reminded me of Hotline Miami in a way. This is the vibe all those 80s nostalgia media (think stranger things) are trying to capture.

Ultramarines: A Warhammer 40,000 Movie 2010
The animation looks like a shitty video game cutscene, and that’s charming in its own way. Terrible sound design, and a rather dull plot. Unremarkable characters that blend together. However, the first thirty minutes of buildup to the reveal of the threat were a real treat, the way it built tension, makes me think there was a vision under this mess, and maybe in a better world, this would have been a great movie and GW would have used its success to make more warhammer films.
