Poor Things 2023
hands down the best feminist movie i have ever seen. it was so weird and quirky and so unique which i absolutely loved. but i mostly just loved how they depicted the duality between men and women through the eyes of society.
the nonsensical nature of it all created a light hearted air to the film while still being able to discuss such important topics.
the brothel sequence was amazingly written and directed, showing sex through the eyes of women, rather than the typical male gaze.

ultimate career over love arc.
love the classic jewish man entering the picture. felt very represented as an asian woman with a jewish man.
overall fantastic directing, and absolutely heartbreaking to watch. cinematography was beautiful, and definitely proved that some of the most simple things can be the most moving.
