A strange and heavily satirical look at the way society views relationships
I get what they were going for in this movie, but for me, it really just wasn’t that enjoyable. I often found myself going “what?” But not from fun like I did in poor things, but rather in a disappointed way because the potential was there but I didn’t love it as much as I expected it to.
Yes, there were some very enjoyable, funny, and clever moments but overall it didn’t stick the landing to me. I wonder why everyone fawns over this movie so much.
Possibly the most insane true story ever?
To be honest, I struggled attempting to write a review for this movie because the movie itself is probably 3 1/2 stars. It’s sort of cheesy and some of the pacing isn’t incredible, but the true story of the movie makes me want to put this movie in 5 stars because oh my gosh.
