Black Adam 2022
I’m really glad I had low expectations going into this. This was surprisingly well done. I was afraid that The Rock would be the reason to dislike this movie and he was quite good as Teth Adam. I enjoyed the twist of having the Justice Society as the invaders/antagonists. If DC can keep cranking out films like this, Shazam, Aquaman, and Pattinson’s The Batman, and shows like Peacemaker under the Gunn/Safran then comic book fans might have a budding DC/Marvel movie war. I can’t wait to see where they go from here.

Y’know with all the negative reviews I heard/read about this movie, I really don’t think I can agree with them. It’s not the best MCU film but it is quite enjoyable even if I didn’t like Sprite. There was a lack of action, but I honestly found it quite refreshing. Sometimes you just need a film with exposition to get the ball rolling. I’m looking forward to where this goes.

Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace 1999
I’m just gonna say it: this is my favorite of the prequels. Full of constant action, this film is a great foray into Lucas’ iconic saga. Maybe I’m a victim of my generation since this was my first Star Wars film, but getting this taste of the Sith was tremendous, and who could forget the pod racing!
Darth Maul is the BEST Sith Lord. Change my mind.
