    Perfection

Luca Guadagnino’s Queer (2024) is an elegiac and intoxicating masterclass in what it means to feel

And boy, oh, boy do we *feel* everything that Lee does — every ghostly touch, every fleeting press of lips on sun-drenched skin, every burning sip of mezcal and every cloying moment of desperate loneliness. This is a movie full of heart(break), of legs dreamily entwining in sleep, and one that challenges us to confront the delicate yet furious dance between longing and loathing, tension and resolution.

    🩰🏃‍♂️”Oi! Dancing boy!” Simply perfect.

I must have watched this film 50+ times over the last 20 years. In my opinion, Billy Elliot remains one of the most important, well-crafted and emotionally resonant coming of age films ever made. It is certainly among the most impactful films of my queer teenage years. Why, you may ask? Here are *just* ten reasons:

    (1) Pure Bildungsroman (but ballet-based!)

    (2) Like actually interesting and vibrant socio-political commentary juxtaposed with a gentle boy…

The conceptual base of this film from the visionary artist Simon Stålenhag is incredible. Wtf did they do to it? DNF.

This was really fun. I especially liked how sassy Tommy Lee Jones was. That boy can clearly read a bitch to filth.

Unbelievably camp, unbelievably stoooopid, and unbelievably joyful. I think Tim Curry is my spirit animal!

But whodunnit, you ask? Well, you’ll just have to watch and find out.
