Flawless ambiance, the palpable atmosphere of this world is off the charts. It's tangible and enthralling for it, front to back. It's a mesmerizing, transporting masterpiece. Soak in it - in the right frame of mind, it's particularly affecting.

On what must be my thirtieth watch, I reconfirm that I am forever enamored with this one. The rain and gritty streets I can almost smell and feel grind underfoot, the neon, illuminating and blinding at once, the noir atmosphere, being transported away to this place. Every damn thing in here. And everyone.

    Just everything 5/5.

Once again, great if you like staring at pretty pictures while not feeling a single emotion. I simply can't find a way to care about Paul or any other people or relationships in here. Can't wait for Denis to move on. He previously talked about not reaching the level of emotionality that he wanted to in part 1 and hoped to fix it in 2, sad to say it's a bit better emotionally but not by enough.

Still, a wonder to look at and the level of artistry all around is top notch.

But that's just, like, my opinion, man.

This movie's all over the fucking place but then so isn't John's entire life? Life's a mishmash of all of these different things, throw in alcoholism and a werewolf and that's a hell of a bender.

Creative. Entertaining for sure. I've never seen anything by Jim Cummings before, so this was an intriguing intro to his work for me, I look forward to watching more.
