This movie is young, dumb, and full of cum, and its the greatest movie ever made.

Better than game of thrones imho.

Incredibly good shit if you like: Katherine Hepburn, court politics, conniving, scheming, queerness, Anthony Hopkins (he is so good in this), great medieval costuming, etc

An absolute delight - enjoyed myself tremendously throughout but the first half which is filled with tributes to classic looney tunes material (and everything with Farmer Jim) is really priceless, and the kind of thing that makes you go "how come there hasn't been one of these every few years my entire life". Daffy Duck forever.

It feels like Eggers's answer to the question "why remake Nosferatu" is "I really like Nosferatu and I have a bunch of really good visual ideas" - and he does have a bunch of really good visual ideas! But I was hoping for a bit more.

Really liked a few specific aspects - the animation for the hand (especially it learning to walk on its fingers) and the creativity in coming up with new methods of transit for it were really impressive, even if things occasionally skewed a little cruel and unnecessary.

The music was also a real strong point, really elevating the dramatic scenes to the point of maybe propping up cliched material. And unfortunately that's the biggest problem with the movie - the bulk…
