This movie has everything you need. Everything from the acting to the cinematography to the editing style is spot on. The quick pans and zooms, shaky camera work, and choice of lower quality film create a gritty perception of life in a violent city. Characters who try to leave the city of god are killed, and the rest are forced to live a life of crime, which presents an everlasting cycle of gang violence and poverty.

i loved a lot about this movie, but mostly the subtle details providing social commentary while keeping me entertained with the pacing of the story. big fan of the doorbell scene that represents the beginning of the second half of the movie tone shifting from a comedy to a thriller/horror about a murderer living in a basement.
