Two wounded people embark on a (beautifully shot) architecture tour.

Kogonada masterfully uses architectural, natural and interior environments to create a backdrop for his characters to reflect, mourn and find common ground.

His characters move through their (stagnant and painstakingly composed) frames at a glacial pace - the measured, scanning walk one often employs at a museum or the walk equivalent to the actual time it would take one to truly appreciate these spaces in-person.

Kogonada is not in a rush, we shouldn’t be either!

Arguably one of Tom Cruise’s best (and most terrifying) acting performances.

This entire movie is entirely over the top, far too long and soo erratic (the frogs? the shared musical score?) yet I enjoyed it nonetheless..
