I wasn't expecting this film to be charged so politically. I never really thought about divisiveness within the Church, especially between liberal and conservative ideals.
But I liked how they showed the modernization of the church. You have one cardinal taking a hit of a vape and another making coffee out of a Keurig type machine. It was this juxtaposition that caught my full attention.
The cinematography was really cool. The shot where people in Handmaids Tale-type robes walk around…
Like the title suggests, you need to just go with the flow of the cat. There isn’t necessarily a plot but the story of animals trying to survive a flood captivates you enough so that you don’t go bored, especially since there is no dialogue whatsoever.
I am team Capybara but anti lemur.
Whoever designed the Labrador Retriever surely owns one. The real life cat who voices the movie cat did a great job.
Wendy Who?! Wendy Wu
Such a classic from my childhood and watching it through my adult eyes has not changed my love for this movie.
A top DCOM and one of my favorite Brenda Song films
I haven’t seen many Studio Ghibli films so I can’t compare them yet but this movie was pretty fun to watch.
I prefer a brunette Howl over a blonde Howl and Calcifer was really adorable. The old witch really got on my nerves tho
