  The first time I think I've ever used the words "needlessly violent" to describe a movie. None of the gratuitous ritual killings and tribal violence in this movie did anything to advance the plot.

  The movie opens with a quote blaming the Mayan people for being conquered. Racist white men shouldn't make movies about indigenous peoples. Half a star because waterfall jumps are dope.
